Image:Lady justice standing.png The City Attorney provides legal counsel and support to the City Commission, city departments and boards.  The City Attorney is responsible for:

•  Preparing ordinances, resolutions, contracts, deeds, leases and other legal            documents

•  Providing legal guidance in establishing administrative policy and making top level     management decisions

• Investigating complaints by or against the City

•  Preparing cases for trial

•  Representing the Commission in Union negotiations

•  Preparing legal opinions
