The
Administration
Department manages the legislative and administrative
functions of the city. Responsibilities include: ordinance preparation
and codification, legal advertising, Commission meeting agenda and
minutes, supervision of municipal elections and public records
management. |

The
Finance Department is
responsible for directing and coordinating the overall financial
activities of the city, including areas of: accounting, budgeting, dept
administration, purchasing and insurance administration. |

The
Public
Works Department is responsible for routine maintenance of
all city buildings, streets, sidewalks, sewer lines, park areas and
equipment. Reclaimed water cross-connection inspections are handled
through the department and beautification is an ongoing project. |

The
Community Improvement Department is responsible for the
regulation and control of private construction, issuance and
registration of business tax receipts, investigation and enforcement of
ordinances and codes, advice and support for engineering, planning and
zoning, maintenance and filing of land use maps, construction plans,
records and permitting. |

Services provided by the
Public Safety Department
includes Fire Protection, Emergency Medical Services, Safety
Programs, Hurricane Preparedness, Crime Watch, annual Fire Inspections
and Police services. Police services are contracted through the Pinellas
County Sheriff's Department. |
