	The Public Works Department is responsible for routine maintenance of all City buildings, streets, sidewalks, sewer lines, park areas and equipment. Reclaimed water cross-connection inspections will be handled through the department and beautification is an ongoing project.

Plant A Tree
The City of South Pasadena actively implements a tree planting program. Our beautiful City, located on prime waterfront land, is always concerned with the environment. Trees have definite environmental benefits. While adding beauty and shade, they also protect the land and the bay from damage caused by excessive runoff and erosion. New trees may also attract birds and wildlife. The Supervisor of Horticulture supervises the selection, purchase, placement and maintenance of trees suitable for planting in the city's parks. Trees can be purchased at any time and can be placed in honor or memory of a loved one. The cost of a tree is $150. Call the Public Works Department at 727-347-4171 for more information.
